How to choose a hose

Size (inner diameter)

Hoses are sized by inner diameter in mm or inches (1/4 in = 6.3 mm, 1/2 in = 12.7 mm). Match it to the fitting, not the outside of the old hose.

Working pressure

Choose a working pressure at least equal to the system maximum, including pressure peaks; burst pressure is normally four times the working pressure.

Fluid and temperature

The tube must suit what flows through it: oil, fuel, water, air, steam, chemicals or food. Saudi summer heat counts too.

Standard

Hydraulic: SAE J517 (100R1AT, 100R2AT) or EN 853/856 (1SN, 2SN, 4SP, 4SH). Gas: EN ISO 3821 / EN 16436. Ask for the standard your equipment maker names.

Questions

Can you make up hydraulic hose assemblies to length?

Yes. Send the hose size and standard, the two end fittings and the length (or the old hose); we quote the assembly crimped and tested.

What is the difference between air hose and gas hose?

Gas (LPG) hose is made and tested for fuel gas to its own standard and is usually orange; air hose is not approved for gas. Never use one for the other.

Do you supply camlock couplings and hose clamps with the hose?

Yes. Couplings, clamps, ferrules and reels can be on the same quotation as the hose.

Do you deliver hoses outside Jeddah?

Yes. We supply from Jeddah to Riyadh, Dammam and Al Khobar, Jubail, Yanbu, Makkah and every other region; the delivery time is on the quotation.
