Specialty tape cross-reference

Polyimide, glass cloth, foil, ESD and masking tapes: type a tape reference and see the equivalent references from other leading tape makers.

Rule of thumbEquivalent tapes share backing, thickness and adhesive. Confirm the temperature rating on the datasheet.

Equivalents are matched by construction (film, thickness and adhesive). Confirm with the datasheet for temperature, adhesion and certification before you substitute in a critical process.

Reading the table: 1 mil = 0.0254 mm. Silicone adhesive stands the highest temperatures and peels cleanly; acrylic ages well and resists solvents; rubber gives fast grab at lower temperatures.
